Roborock comparisons
Qrevo Edge or Qrevo Edge S5A?
Qrevo Edge and Qrevo Edge S5A are related U.S. listings, but they are not the same robot under different paint. The original Edge listing maps to product 7600014917750, robot QX0VIM, default SKU RR-QrevoEdge0-M2 and dock EWFD30LRR. S5A maps to product 7637394194550, robot RRE0VCM, Black SKU RR-QrevoEdgeS5A5-M2 or White SKU RR-QrevoEdgeS5A0-M2, and the same dock code. Both U.S. store pages showed “Out of stock, coming soon” and a prelaunch message on October 24, 2026. They are retained for comparison, not offered as current buys.
The useful differences, not the shared name
| Question | Qrevo Edge | Qrevo Edge S5A |
|---|---|---|
| Exact robot / dock | QX0VIM / EWFD30LRR | RRE0VCM / EWFD30LRR |
| Listed robot height | 103 mm (about 4.06 in) | 98 mm / 9.79 cm (about 3.86 in); one page inch line conflicts |
| Threshold-lifting chassis | AdaptiLift; up to 3 cm standard and 4 cm conditional double-layer claims | No AdaptiLift claim; no numeric threshold maximum confirmed |
| Battery | 14.4 V, 6400 mAh typical | 14.4 V, 5200 mAh typical |
| Maximum suction statement | 18,500 Pa maker maximum | Conflicting exact-page values: 18,500 in summary vs. 17,000 in body/FAQ; left unknown |
| Mop and dock | Two liftable spinning pads; EWFD30LRR tank dock; 75°C dock wash | Two liftable spinning pads; EWFD30LRR tank dock; 75°C dock wash |
The shared dock code does not collapse the robot identities. The Edge FCC manual is for QX0VIM and confirms a 6400-mAh typical battery. The separate S5A FCC manual names RRE0VCM and a 5200-mAh typical battery. Their Edge-series name, DuoDivide brush and Multifunctional Dock 3.0 do not authorize transferring the AdaptiLift claim or the original Edge's suction figure to S5A.
Threshold claims and furniture clearance are different questions
The original Edge page describes a chassis that can lift up to 10 mm, up to 3 cm for standard transitions and up to 4 cm for a complex double-layer threshold under stated test geometry. The S5A is slightly shorter on the official metric dimensions but has no numeric threshold maximum in its exact listing or manual. For a low sofa, the body height is the relevant limit: the original Edge is about 4.06 inches high, and the S5A's consistent metric height is about 3.86 inches. The S5A page's separate 4.06-inch parenthetical is inconsistent with its 98-mm/9.79-cm figures, so verify your clearance against the unit and official specifications before relying on the conversion.
A 4-cm threshold claim is not a 4-cm low-clearance measurement. A product may meet one requirement and still not pass under furniture. Similarly, the Edge's advertised threshold ability should not be read as permission for every stair lip, rug, wire or doorway. The manual requires a supervised first route and recommends removing hazards. The Edge's carpet language also conflicts: its manual says not to use on high-pile carpet, while its feature page markets app-enabled mid-to-long-pile operation. Treat high-pile fit as unresolved, not assured.
Shared station chores and network limits
Both packages use removable clean- and dirty-water tanks, auto-empty dust into a bag, refill the robot and wash/dry the mop pads. Their 75°C number describes dock pad washing; neither exact source set documents a warm-water floor-mopping temperature. The FCC manuals specify cold tap water for the clean tank. Both manuals support 2.4-GHz Wi-Fi only, state a grounded nominal 120-V outlet, and require a dock area of at least 0.4 m wide, 1.2 m in front and 0.9 m high. Allow room to lift and carry tanks, service the bag and reach the cleaning tray.
Which would suit you better if they launch? The base Edge is the one with the documented threshold-lifting chassis and a larger battery, while S5A's listed robot is shorter and has the unresolved suction figure. Neither is currently available in the reviewed U.S. store snapshot; this is not a ranking or price comparison. The later Qrevo Edge 2 is another separate product with a different robot/dock code and retracting LiDAR; its features do not belong in this table.
