A useful fit for

The reviewed U.S. offer is designed around two rotating pads, a DuoDivide brush, a tank-cleaning dock and an unusually specific liftable chassis with standard and double-layer threshold claims. Its value proposition makes most sense for a home with some rugs or a qualifying step pattern, but the exact high-pile carpet guidance conflicts between the official manual and feature page.

The main tradeoff

At the 2026-10-24 check the U.S. store still described this exact offer as out of stock/coming soon and not yet launched, so it is a reference review rather than a product to buy today. The robot is about 4.06 inches high and its LiDAR does not retract; the station needs tank service, a grounded 120-V location and generous measured clearance. The 75 °C number is dock washing, not floor water. The product page and feature page also differ on dock physical dimensions, so use the manual's placement clearance instead of relying on a single dimension line.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Will the Qrevo Edge's 4.06-inch-high body fit below a measured four-inch opening?

No. Its official dimensions convert to about 4.06 inches, so a four-inch route is shorter than the listed body. Measure the tightest opening; the AdaptiLift chassis does not lower the LiDAR turret.

Is a qualified four-centimeter double-layer threshold claim documented for this exact robot?

Roborock's Edge feature page states up to four centimeters for a double-layer geometry and up to three centimeters for standard transitions. The manual does not turn those controlled claims into a guarantee for a home route.

Explore this need in the finder →
Does the exact Edge dock use removable clean/dirty tanks, or a plumbing kit?

The FCC manual illustrates clean- and dirty-water reservoirs in the EWFD30LRR Empty Wash Fill Dock. The listed package is not a verified fixed-supply/drain installation.

Explore this need in the finder →
Does the exact U.S. manual support 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and 5 GHz Wi-Fi?

It supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only; the reviewed manual does not support 5 GHz. The app-based setup therefore needs a compatible 2.4 GHz band.

Explore this need in the finder →
Does its 75°C dock wash mean warm water is applied to the floor?

No floor-water temperature is documented. The exact manual says fill the dock tank with cold tap water; 75°C is the maker's dock mop-wash claim, not a floor-mopping temperature.

Explore this need in the finder →
Can this exact Edge safely be shortlisted for high-pile carpet?

Not as a confirmed fit. Its FCC manual says not to use on high-pile carpet, while the feature page markets mid-to-long-pile carpet operation with app settings. Because the manufacturer materials conflict, high-pile support is left unresolved and cannot satisfy an essential carpet constraint.

Is DuoDivide the main brush named for this exact Edge package?

Yes. The exact Edge U.S. page identifies DuoDivide as its main brush; this is a manufacturer design label, not a measured hair-removal result.

The original Roborock Qrevo Edge is a different configuration from both Qrevo Edge S5A and the later Qrevo Edge 2. In the U.S. listing captured on October 24, 2026, this one-title package maps to native product 7600014917750, SKU RR-QrevoEdge0-M2. Its FCC manual identifies robot QX0VIM and the EWFD30LRR Empty Wash Fill Dock. Roborock's U.S. page showed “Out of stock, coming soon” and a separate prelaunch message saying the product had not yet launched, so this is a reference assessment—not a current purchase recommendation.

What the original Edge adds

This Edge combines a pair of automatically lifting and rotating mop pads with a DuoDivide main brush and FlexiArm Arc side brush. Roborock says the brush design routes hair toward a central dust opening and the side brush extends at selected edges; those are maker design and certification claims, not independent hair-removal tests. The listing describes the dock as a Multifunctional Dock 3.0: it empties dust, washes and dries the pads, and refills the robot's water tank from its own reservoirs. The manufacturer's up-to-seven-week dust-bag interval is a maximum-condition claim, not a promise for every home.

The U.S. feature page lists up to 18,500 Pa suction, a 75°C dock mop wash and 45°C warm-air drying. Those numbers describe manufacturer specifications. In particular, 75°C is the dock's wash-water claim, not a temperature for water applied to the floor. The manual says to fill the clean-water reservoir with cold tap water. I would not shortlist this package for a buyer whose essential requirement is warm water delivered to the floor.

The threshold claim is real—but qualified

The Edge's most distinct feature is AdaptiLift. Roborock describes an independently adjusted chassis that can lift by up to 10 mm, with claims of up to 3 cm on a standard threshold and up to 4 cm on a complex double-layer threshold under the maker's test conditions. The four-centimeter figure is specifically for a two-rise geometry, not a universal single-step clearance. A door track, rug edge, approach angle or gap may behave differently. Measure the actual route and read the model-specific conditions before treating a threshold result as decisive.

The robot itself is listed at about 352 × 347 × 103 mm, or 4.06 inches high. This is not the retractable-LiDAR Edge 2; the original Edge's FCC diagram shows a top LiDAR sensor, and its body does not lower beneath furniture. A 4-inch opening is shorter than the nominal robot height. Check the lowest point along the whole path, including upholstery, trim and floor transitions, rather than assuming the chassis lift solves a low sofa clearance problem.

Check carpet, water and dock space before the feature list

There is an important carpet conflict in the official material. The exact FCC manual says not to use the Edge on high-pile carpet and warns that effectiveness can be reduced on dark carpet. The feature page describes mid-to-long-pile carpet cleaning after enabling app settings. The manufacturer does not reconcile those phrases; high-pile suitability is therefore left unresolved here and should not be treated as an essential fit. The manual also says to keep the floor free of water or sticky material. Obstacle sensing is not permission to run over a spill.

The manual calls for a hard, level station location with at least 0.4 m of side clearance, 1.2 m in front and 0.9 m of vertical clearance. The dock handles clean and dirty water in removable tanks; this listing does not document a fixed supply-and-drain kit. It needs a grounded, nominal 120 V outlet and a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network—the manual does not support 5 GHz. The manual also recommends at least three vacuum-only passes before the first mop cycle. Tank emptying, dust-bag replacement, cleaning-tray care and drying a rinsed washable filter remain owner chores.

Where it fits in the family

If the product is launched in this U.S. configuration, its useful distinction would be the liftable chassis and conditional two-step threshold claim, not an all-purpose ability to cross any tall obstacle. The S5A is listed with a shorter body but no documented AdaptiLift threshold figure; its suction figures conflict within the exact U.S. listing. The Edge 2 is another product again, with a retracting LiDAR body and a different robot/dock code. Do not transfer those siblings' heights, suction, Wi-Fi, plumbing or carpet claims to the original Edge.

For now, this review preserves the verified U.S. model identity and operating limits while withholding the product from buying results until the official store shows it launched and available. See Roborock's exact U.S. product page, Edge feature details, and FCC/IC user manual; compare the separate Qrevo Edge S5A assessment and Qrevo Edge 2 assessment.

The certified-refurbished Edge is a different buying condition, not a new robot mode

Roborock separately lists a certified-refurbished U.S. Edge offer (product 8064738263158, SKU RR-QrevoEdge0R-M1). Its page repeats the Edge name, Dock 3.0 and functional list, and its native record uses the same exact lead-render URL; it shows no different robot mode or manual. This is a condition variant, not a second cleaning plan. On October 24, 2026 the exact refurbished offer remained out of stock/coming soon and not yet launched.

Roborock's refurb FAQ describes pre-owned, inspected and cleaned units, possible slight wear, and batteries tested around 80% of original capacity—program statements, not an individual unit test. The U.S. warranty terms give certified refurbs six months of limited coverage; the exact offer states 30-day returns. If relisted, check the delivered condition, battery expectations and terms; “90% New” is not a performance rating.
