Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Will the Q10 X5+ fit beneath a measured four-inch opening?
Roborock's Q10 series comparison lists a 3.9-inch body. Four inches leaves little margin; measure rugs, upholstery and the whole route rather than relying on the nominal figure.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the Q10 X5+ include the VibraRise 2.0 vibrating mop system?
Its exact US materials identify an automatic-lift mop system, not VibraRise 2.0. If vibration is essential, the Q10 S5+ is the documented Q10 choice; the X5+ cannot meet that hard condition.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the Q10 X5+ have a carpet-triggered automatic mop lift?
Yes. Roborock's exact page describes a carpet sensor that lifts or lowers its mop; the family page lists an 8mm lift claim.
Explore this need in the finder →Can the Q10 X5+ be used where only 5GHz Wi-Fi is available?
No. Its exact FCC/IC manual supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only, so a 5GHz-only network does not meet the documented requirement.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the Q10 X5+ package include automatic dust emptying?
Yes. The exact Q10 X5+ box pairs the RRA1TAL robot with AED09LRR auto-empty station, but mop washing and drying remain manual.
Explore this need in the finder →The Roborock Q10 X5+ is a mapped robot vacuum with a basic water-tank mop attachment and a dock that auto-empties dust. It shares the Q10 S5+'s 10,000Pa manufacturer-rated suction, LiDAR mapping, structured-light obstacle sensing, 5,200mAh battery and 3.9-inch body, but the advertised mop system is different: Roborock describes the X5+ as an auto-lifting pad rather than the S5+'s VibraRise 2.0 vibrating cloth. That makes the X5+ the more straightforward choice if carpet-triggered lifting matters and vibrating mopping does not.
Vacuum features without a wash-station footprint
The PreciSense LiDAR system maps the home and keeps multiple floor plans, while Reactive Tech uses structured light to detect and steer around some obstacles. The app offers room scheduling, no-go areas and carpet boost. A robot can still snag a charging lead, miss a small object or need a no-go boundary around a fragile area, so the first full run deserves supervision and loose floor clutter should be cleared before later schedules.
Roborock rates suction at 10,000Pa under its own specified test conditions. That is a product specification, not a measured comparison of how much grit, hair or embedded debris it will remove from your carpet. The Q10 X5+ also uses a dual anti-tangle brush arrangement, but “anti-tangle” does not mean maintenance-free: check the main brush and side brush, clear wrapped hair and clean the sensors as the manual directs.
Its mop lifts, but the dock does not look after it
The Q10-series comparison lists an 8mm mop-module lift, and Roborock describes the X5+ carpet sensor lifting or lowering the mop as the floor changes. This is useful for a mixed hard-floor and ordinary rug route, but it is not a license to run on high-pile carpet. The manual says not to use the robot on high-pile carpet and notes that dark carpet can reduce effectiveness. Treat that caution as a real boundary even when the app can mark a carpet or boost suction there.
The mop remains a cloth attached to the robot. Fill the robot's combo dustbin-and-water tank, attach a damp cloth, then remove and wash it after use; empty leftover water from the robot as instructed. The station only empties dust into a replaceable bag. It does not wash or dry the mop, refill water, or rinse its tray. Roborock's X5+ page says the dock can provide over seven weeks of hands-free cleaning in its claim, but that interval refers to dust emptying, not the whole ownership routine. Brush, filter, cloth, tank and dock care still belong on the calendar.
Check the exact route and connection
The Q10 X5+ body is about 13.9 × 13.9 × 3.9 inches, and the auto-empty station measures about 8.35 × 7.01 × 10.20 inches. Roborock's product page contains a malformed inch conversion beside the correct 353 × 353 × 99mm robot dimensions; the millimeter figures and the Q10-series page agree with a 13.9 × 13.9 × 3.9-inch body. Do not use the malformed 138.98-inch value. A 3.9-inch robot still needs more than a nominal four-inch opening once rugs and upholstery are considered. The dock needs a hard, flat location with clearance and a convenient outlet.
The English FCC manual identifies the X5+ robot as RRA1TAL and the AED09LRR auto-empty dock, rated for 120V/60Hz. That is not the same robot code as the Q10 S5+ (RRA0TAL); use the exact model name when ordering replacement parts. The manual supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only. If the station's location has only 5GHz service or poor coverage, app-dependent features may not work as intended.
Q10 X5+ or Q10 S5+?
Both Q10+ packages center on the same kind of daily vacuum schedule and compact dust-emptying station. The decision is the mop mechanism: the S5+ has a VibraRise 2.0 cloth that Roborock describes as vibrating, while the X5+ emphasizes an automatically lifted pad. If vibrating mopping is an essential feature, the X5+ does not satisfy that documented requirement; if you simply want the pad to rise over detected carpet and do not need a vibrating mop, the X5+ is the closer match. Neither supplies the mop-service automation of the Qrevo Curv S5X's water station, and neither should be chosen for high-pile carpet under its manual.
Roborock's U.S. Q10 family page pairs the X5+ package with the Q10 PF+ retailer name. The official PF+ FCC manual specifies an RRA1TAL robot, automatic-lift mop module and AED09LRR auto-empty dock; Roborock support also identifies a Target Q10 PF+ offer as the same model as Q10 X5+. If a listing says PF+, this X5+ assessment is the relevant package; the Q10 PF without a plus uses the small charging dock and requires hand-emptying.
Shortlist the X5+ if you want LiDAR mapping, a small auto-empty base and carpet-aware mop lift, and accept that you will refill the robot and wash and dry its cloth yourself. Compare the Q10 S5+ when VibraRise 2.0 matters, or the Qrevo Curv S5X when dock washing and dual spinning pads justify a larger station. Manufacturer ratings describe features and limits; they are not a promise that one will avoid every object or remove every mark in a specific home.
